The Senate and Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation assembled in Congress etc., sanction with force of Law:
ARTICLE 1 It is within the scope of the Ministry of the Interior, the Department of Coordinated Emergency, which will be responsible for giving the first instructions to the different types of emergencies and deriving the order or denunciation to the public or private divisions with competence. ARTICLE 2 In order to implement the coordinated emergency system, take a single three-figure telephone number (*911, asterisk nine hundred eleven), which will be the same throughout the country, in order to recept the allegations. Calls will be without charge and can be made from public, semipublic, private or cell phones. ARTICLE 3 The Department will keep a record of electronically identified calls for statistics to develop accident prevention policies. ARTICLE 4 Licensee companies of the Telephonic Basic Service shall reserve and make available to the Ministry of the Interior a free line for the calls referred to in Article 1 of this Law. ARTICLE 5° A comprehensive publicity campaign of the coordinated emergency system and the telephone number allocated should be conducted throughout the national territory. ARTICLE 6 The Ministry of the Interior will coordinate with the provinces the implementation of the system in the different jurisdictions. ARTICLE 7 Invite the provinces to accede to this law.
