TOTAL COOPERATION OF ACCESSORIES AND ELEMENTS FOR OSTOMIZED PERSONS
ARTICLE 1 — The purpose of this law is to incorporate into the Compulsory Medical Program (PMO), the national public system, social works and provincial mutuals, the total coverage of the devices or bag for ostomies and the necessary accessories for the optimization of the tolerance of the bag, for those who have been subjected to a temporary or definitive ostomization suffering from disorders, illnesses or disorders in different organs and the promotion of actions aimed at the dissemination of them.
ARTICLE 2 Objectives:
(a) To attain the highest standard of quality of life for the ostomized patient population;
(b) To promote accessibility to safe, effective and effective medical coverage;
(c) Ensure access to information, guidance and services related to the health of ostomized patients to the entire population;
(d) Incorporate necessary control mechanisms to ensure timely delivery and in the form of materials necessary for ostomized persons.
ARTICLE 3 — The amount of devices that will be granted monthly to the patient will depend on the patient's needs according to the prescription of the medical professional.
ARTICLE 4 The technical and quality characteristics of the devices or bags and the accessories must guarantee the tolerance of the body of the ostomized persons and their quality of life.
ARTICLE 5 — The coverage of the total devices is intended for the universe that makes up all people with ostomy, including at least the benefits determined by the application authority.
ARTICLE 6 Coverage should be provided with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the physical health of the patient for full rehabilitation and reintegration into social life.
ARTICLE 7 The Ministry of Health will develop a national clinical distribution guide specifying the necessary care to improve the quality of life of the ostomized people.
ARTICLE 8 - The Ministry of Health of the Nation is recommended to include information essential with indications of healthy habits for the care of ostomized persons. Promoting in the community spaces of reflection and action for the apprehension of basic knowledge linked to the problem.
ARTICLE 9 — This law shall enter into force from the nineties (90) days of its promulgation.
ARTICLE 10. - Invite the provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to accede to this law.
ARTICLE 11. - Contact the national executive branch.
