RESOLUTION

On the Government’s July 2006 regular meeting

On July 31 and August 1, the Government held its July regular meeting where:

- It proposed its program of action for implementation of the Resolution of the Xth Party Congress and the Resolution of the ninth session of the XIth National Assembly on the 2006-2010 socio-economic development plan;

- It discussed and passed the Bill on Goods and Product Quality, the Bill on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Bill on Sea Areas of Vietnam, and the draft Ordinance on Protection of Important National Security Targets for submission to the National Assembly Standing Committee;

- It discussed the Government Office’s report on elaboration and promulgation of documents detailing and guiding the implementation of laws and ordinances;

- It examined the Planning and Investment Ministry’s report on socio-economic, production-business-service and investment situation and the Trade Ministry’s report on trade situation in July and the first 7 months of 2006; and the Government Inspectorate’s report on inspection and settlement of complaints and denunciations in the second quarter of 2006.- (Summary)
