On the Government’s August 2006 regular meeting

On August 30-31, the Government held its August 2006 regular meeting where it heard:

- The Planning and Investment Minister’s report on the 2006 socio-economic situation and the 2007 socio-economic development plan, and the Finance Minister’s report on implementation of the 2006 state budget and the 2007 state budget estimates;

- The Justice Minister presenting the Government’s 2007 tentative legislative program; the abolishment of the administrative probation measure and annulment of the Government’s Decree No. 31/CP of April 14, 1997, on administrative probation; and the Bill on Judicial Assistance.

The Government also considered the Planning and Investment Ministry’s report on production, business, service and investment situation in August and the socio-economic situation in the first 8 months of the year; the Finance Ministry’s report on state budget implementation; and the Trade Ministry’s report on trade situation in the same period.- (Summary)
