On the Government’s September 2006 regular meeting

On October 2, the Government held its September regular meeting to discuss and give comments on the Bill on Personal Income Tax, presented by the Finance Minister; the draft Ordinance on the Exercise of Democracy in Communes, Wards and Townships, presented by the Home Affairs Minister; the draft Ordinance Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Ordinance on Criminal Investigation, presented by the Public Security Minister; and a draft decree on organization and operation of the forest protection force, presented by the Agriculture and Rural Development Minister.

The Government also heard the Minister-Director of the Government Office reporting on the developments of, and damage caused by, the Typhoon No. 6 (Sangxane) and on the formulation and promulgation of legal documents; and the Minister of Planning and Investment reporting on production, business, service and investment results in September and socio-economic situation in the first nine months of 2006.- (Summary)
