DECREE No. 04/2002/ND-CP of January 11, 2002 adjusting the administrative boundary of Long Phu rural district for the establishment of Cu Lao Dung rural district; and establishing communes and townships under Cu Lao Dung rural district, Soc Trang province
To establish Cu Lao Dung rural district with a natural land area of 23,606.29 hectares and a population of 58,031.
To establish the following communes and township of Cu Lao Dung rural district:
An Thanh Tay commune with a natural land area of 1,759.55 hectares and a population of 4,620.
Cu Lao Dung township (the district capital) with a natural land area of 905.7 hectares and a population of 5,148.
An Thanh Dong commune with natural land area of 4,195.84 hectares and a population of 9,159.
An Thanh Nam commune with a natural land area of 2,721.1 hectares and a population of 5,509.
After the adjustment of its administrative boundary, Cu Lao Dung rural district shall comprise eight administrative units, being communes of An Thanh 1, An Thanh 2, An Thanh 3, Dai An 1, An Thanh Tay, An Thanh Dong and An Thanh Nam and the district capital of Cu Lao Dung.-
