Rule §295.336 Compliance: Civil Penalty

A person who violates the Act or this subchapter is liable for a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $2,000 for the first violation or $10,000 for a second or subsequent violation. The commissioner may request the Texas Attorney General or the district, county, or city attorney having jurisdiction to bring an action to collect a civil penalty under this section.
