§

2548. Administrative penalties

(a) The

commissioner may assess an administrative penalty against any person that

violates this chapter or a rule adopted or an order issued under this chapter

in an amount not to exceed $1,000.00 per day for each day the violation

continues, plus the state's costs and expenses for the investigation and

prosecution of the matter, including reasonable attorney's fees.

(b) The powers

vested in the commissioner by this chapter shall be in addition to any other

powers to enforce any penalties, fines or forfeitures authorized by law. (Added
