   § 23-27.3-100.1.5.3  State rehabilitation

building and fire code for existing buildings and structures. –

The state building code standards committee has the authority to adopt, amend,

and repeal the building code elements of the rehabilitation building and fire

code for existing buildings and structures and to promulgate and administer the

building code elements of the rehabilitation building and fire code for

existing buildings and structures, which supercedes for existing buildings and

structures other codes and regulations adopted by the building code standards

committee, unless the provisions of other codes and regulations are not

inconsistent with the provisions of the rehabilitation building and fire code

for existing buildings and structures.
