WVC 3-2-37

§3-2-37. Effective date.

(a) Except as may otherwise be specifically provided in this

section, the provisions of this article shall take effect on the

first day of January, one thousand nine hundred ninety-five. The

provisions of this article relating to the preparation for

implementation of voter registration programs and procedures under

this article and under the "National Voter Registration Act of

1993" (42 U.S.C. 1973gg), including sections three, five, twelve

and thirteen of this article and subsections (a) and (b), section

fourteen of this article and subdivision (4), subsection (b),

section nineteen of this article and section twenty of this

article, shall take effect upon the effective date of this article.

(b) All procedures and requirements established by the

previous enactment of this article, except the provisions of

subsection (d), section twenty-two of this article, shall continue

in effect until the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine

hundred ninety-four inclusive, as if article two of this chapter

had not been amended.
