      NRS 64.010  Provisions of NRS applicable to justice courts.  Justice courts being courts of peculiar and

limited jurisdiction, only those provisions of titles 2, 3 and 4 of NRS which

are, in their nature, applicable to the organization, powers and course of

proceedings in justice courts or which have been made applicable by special

provisions of NRS, are applicable to justice courts and the proceedings

therein.

      NRS 64.020  Definitions.  As

used in this title, unless the context otherwise requires, the words and terms

defined in NRS 64.030 to 64.140,

inclusive, have the meanings ascribed to them in those sections.

when applied to the marriage relation signifies the connection existing in

consequence of marriage between each of the married persons and the blood

used in this title, every mode of oral statement, under oath or affirmation, is

embraced by the term “testify,” and every written one in the term “depose.”

      NRS 64.160  Signature by mark.  As

used in this title, signature or subscription includes mark when the person

cannot write, his or her name being written near it by a person who writes his

or her own name as a witness; but when a signature is by mark it must, in order

that it may be acknowledged or may serve as the signature to any sworn

statement, be witnessed by two persons who must subscribe their own names as

witnesses thereto.
