AN ACf exempting sales made to and services perfonned for organ procurement organizations from the state sales, services, and use taxes.

Be It Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:

Section 1. Section 422.45, Code Supplement 1997, is amended by adding the following new subsection:

NEW SUBSECTION. 52. The gross receipts from the sale of tangible property or from services performed, rendered, or furnished to a statewide nonprofit organ procurement orga- nization, as defined in section 142C.2.

Be It Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:

Section 1. Section 96.6, subsection 2, Code 1997, is amended to read as follows: 2. INITIAL DETERMINATION. A representative designated by the director shall promptly

notify all interested parties to the claim of its filing, and the parties have ten days from the date of mailing the notice of the filing of the claim by ordinary mail to the last known address to protest payment of benefits to the claimant.
