CHAPTER 70. FORMATION OF ELECTION PRECINCTS.

AN ACT to amend section ten hundred and ninety (1090) of the code, relating to the formation of election precinctB.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:

SlcTION 1. Blection precincts. That section ten hundred and ninety (1090) of the code be amended by striking out the period (.) after the word "there- of" in line thirteen (13) and substituting a comma (,) therefor and adding after such comma (,) the following:

"Except that where an incorporated town embraces within its limits territory situated in different townships of any county, the board of super- visors may, for. the convenience of the electors, constitute such town and, if desired, additional territory thereto abutting, into an election precinct. The board of supervisors in the order establishing such precinct shall define its boundaries and may change same if in their judgment occasion arises. In sueh eases, separate banots and ballot boxes shall be provided for voting for township officers, only."

CHAPTER 71. POLLING PLACES FOR COUNTRY PRECINCTS.

AN ACT to repeal Bection ten hundred ninety-one (1091) of the code, relative to polllng placeB for country precincts and to enact a Bubstitute therefor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:

SECTION 1. Repeal-polling places for country precincts. That section ten hundred ninety-one (1091) of the code be and the same is hereby repealed and the following is enacted in lieu thereof:

"Polling places for precincts outside the limits of a 'city, but within the township, or originally within and set off as a separate township from the township in which the city is in whole or in part situated, may, for the con- venience of the voters, be fixed at some room or rooms in the courthouse or in some other building within the limits of the city as the board of super- visors may provide." . . AN ACT to amend the law as it appearB in Bection eleven hundred thirty-aeven-a Beven (1137-&7) of the Bupplement to the code, 1907, relating to electlonB and 'voting machines.

Be it enacted by the' General Assembly of the State of Iowa: SECTION 1. Use at primat'y elections authorized. That the law as it ap-

pears in section 1137-a-7 of the supplement to the code, 1907, be and the same is hereby amended by inserting after the comma following the word "town" in the second line of said section the word "primary".
