If at any time during the progress of the work, the chief finds that the work is not being performed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and changes, the chief may serve a written notice to the owner or the owner's representative by registered or certified mail or by personal service. Such notice shall state the particulars in which the work has not complied with the approved plans, specifications, and changes. The chief may order the immediate compliance with the approved plans, specifications, and changes. If the owner or the owner's representative fails to comply with the requirements of the order, the permit under which construction is authorized may be revoked by the chief. As prescribed by rule 1501:21-23-01 of the Administrative Code, each chief's order or permit revocation shall inform the affected party of the hearing and appeal provisions of Chapter 119. of the Revised Code.
