(a) Compression equipment shall be designed for use with compressed natural gas (CNG) and for the pressures and temperatures to which it may be subjected under normal operating conditions. It shall have pressure relief devices which shall limit each stage pressure to the maximum allowable working pressure for the cylinder and piping associated with that stage of compression. (b) When CNG compression equipment is operated unattended, it shall be equipped with a high discharge and low suction pressure automatic shutdown control. (c) Control devices shall be designed for the pressure, temperature, and service expected under normal operating conditions.
