Pursuant to §772.0061 of the Texas Government Code, the
Council is authorized to:
  (1) evaluate applications for grant funding for specialty
courts in this state and to make funding recommendations to CJD; and
  (2) make recommendations to CJD regarding best practices
for specialty courts established under Chapters 122, 123, 124, or
125 of the Texas Government Code, or former law.
