Investigations that result in a "reason to believe" or "confirmed"
finding are maintained in the Central Registry for as long as the
investigation case file is retained by the Department under the Department's
official Records Retention Schedule. When the case containing the
investigation record is no longer retained, the central registry information
is also deleted. The Department's Record Retention Schedule for CPS,
APS, and CCL case records can be found at: http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/documents/about/pdf/RecordRetentionSchedule.pdf.
