Additional requirements for systems mounted on trucks, semi-trailers, and trailers for transporting ammonia.









(1) You must make sure the content of vehicle containers is determined by one of the following: (a) Weight; (b) Liquid-level gauging devices; (c) Meters; or (d) Other approved methods. (2) You must use a thermometer well when the content of a container is determined by liquid-level measurement. (3) You must make sure the volume, when converted to weight, does not exceed the DOT filling density requirement. (4) You must protect pumps and compressors against physical damage when mounted on trucks or trailers.
