Operation of sewage treatment plants—Disinfection.









Effective disinfection of sewage discharges shall be provided in accordance with the determination of the department. If at any time effective disinfection cannot be accomplished due to the breakdown of equipment or the need for bypassing raw or partially treated sewage, or any other reason, the owner shall immediately notify the department by telephone or by facsimile machine.
