Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the prescribed form of notice to be used by secure tenants to claim the right to buy under Part V of the Housing Act 1985. The form lists certain authorities and bodies; and periods spent as a tenant of any of those authorities or bodies are relevant for the entitlement to the right to buy and the calculation of discount. The Regulations add the English Sports Council and the United Kingdom Sports Council to the list.
