Made
24th January 1995

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 23 of the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1994(1) hereby makes the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1994 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1995.

2.  Section 21(1) of the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1994 (consequential amendments), so far as it relates to paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Act, shall come into force on 15th February 1995.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force, on 15th February 1995, the amendment made by the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1994 to section 38(2) of the Land Registration Act 1925 (c. 21). This enables the Lord Chancellor to make rules for prescribing the effect of covenants implied by virtue of the 1994 Act in dispositions of registered land.
