The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 35(6) of the Legal Aid Act 1988(1), hereby makes the following Order, a draft of which has, in accordance with section 36(2) of the Legal Aid Act 1988, been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:—

1.  This Order may be cited as the Legal Aid Advisory Committee (Dissolution) Order 1995 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

2.  The advisory committee in existence under section 35(1) of the Legal Aid Act 1988 shall be dissolved.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order dissolves the advisory committee in existence under section 35 of the Legal Aid Act 1988 (commonly called the Legal Aid Advisory Committee). As a consequence of the Order, section 35 ceases to have effect.
