The A3 Trunk Road (Malden Way, Kingston Upon Thames) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1995

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(1) and (3) of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act(2), hereby makes the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the A3 Trunk Road, (Malden Way, Kingston Upon Thames) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 20th February 1995.

2.  In this Order—

“Malden Way” means that length of the A3 Trunk Road in the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames known as Malden Way; and

“moped” has the same meaning as in the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1987(3).

3.  No person shall ride, or cause to be ridden, any moped in the subway which lies under Malden Way immediately north-east of its junction with South Lane.

4.  The Kingston Upon Thames (Prescribed Routes) (No. 5) Traffic Order 1970(4) is hereby revoked.
