The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 92(1) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, having regard to the change in the arrangements for the administration of hospitals and other establishments and facilities formerly managed by the Harrogate Health Care National Health Service Trust resulting from the establishment of the Leeds General Infirmary and Associated Hospitals National Health Service Trust(2) now called the United Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust(3), having consulted the Harrogate Health Care National Health Service Trust and the United Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust in accordance with section 92(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the United Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Transfer of Trust Property) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 29th March 1995.

(2) In this Order—

“the first Trust” means the Harrogate Health Care National Health Service Trust;

“the second Trust” means the United Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust;

“the trust property” means the items specified in a schedule of trust property prepared by and agreed upon by the first Trust and the second Trust on 20th October 1994, which schedule has been signed on behalf of both the first Trust and the second Trust.

Transfer of trust property

2.  On 29th March 1995 the trust property shall be transferred from the first Trust to the second Trust.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order transfers to the United Leeds Teaching Hospitals National Health Service Trust on 29th March 1995 trust property formerly held by the Harrogate Health Care National Health Service Trust. A copy of the schedule of trust property to which the Order refers can be obtained from the Department of Health, NHS Trust Unit, Room 1W29, Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7UE.
