The Alexandra Health Care, the Kidderminster Health Care, the Worcestershire Community Healthcare and the Worcester Royal Infirmary National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 1999

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and section 5(1) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Alexandra Health Care National Health Service Trust, the Kidderminster Health Care National Health Service Trust, the Worcestershire Community Healthcare National Health Service Trust and the Worcester Royal Infirmary National Health Service Trust(3), and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act(4), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Alexandra Health Care, the Kidderminster Health Care, the Worcestershire Community Healthcare and the Worcester Royal Infirmary National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

Dissolution of NHS trusts

2.  The Alexandra Health Care National Health Service Trust established by the Alexandra Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order(5), the Kidderminster Healthcare National Health Service Trust established by the Kidderminster Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order(6), the Worcestershire Community Health Care National Health Service Trust established by the Worcestershire Community Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order(7) and the Worcester Royal Infirmary National Health Service Trust established by the Worcester Royal Infirmary National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order(8) are hereby dissolved, and accordingly those Orders are hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st April 2000 of the Alexandra Health Care, Kidderminster Health Care Worcestershire Community Healthcare and Worcester Royal Infirmary National Health Service Trusts.
This Order should be read in conjunction with the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1999(9) and the Worcestershire Community and Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1999(10).
