The A4 Trunk Road (Colnbrook By-Pass, Hillingdon) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1.  This Order may be cited as the A4 Trunk Road (Colnbrook By-Pass, Hillingdon) (50 mph Speed Limit) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 25th February 1998.

2.  No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on that length of the A4 Trunk Road known as Colnbrook By-Pass between a point 5 metres east of the eastern end of the southern parapet of the bridge over the Wraysbury River and a point 400 metres west of the westernmost abutment of the bridge over the River Colne, a distance of approximately 360 metres.
