Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 2(5)(b) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:–

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Health Service Commissioner for England (London Post-Graduate Teaching Hospitals Designation Orders) Revocation Order 1998 and shall come into force on 25th January 1999.

Revocation of Orders

2.  The Health Service Commissioner for England (London Post-Graduate Teaching Hospitals) Order 1982(2) and the Health Service Commissioner for England (Board of Governors of the Eastman Dental Hospital) Order 1984(3) are hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order revokes the Health Service Commissioner for England (London Post-Graduate Teaching Hospitals) Order 1982 and the Health Service Commissioner for England (Board of Governors of the Eastman Dental Hospital) Order 1984 which designated the special health authorities of certain post-graduate teaching hospitals in London, now abolished, as “relevant bodies” within the meaning of section 109 of the National Health Service Act 1977 so that the Health Service Commissioner for England could investigate complaints relating to them or their officers.
