Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order makes one amendment to the Education (National Curriculum) (Key Stage 3 Assessment Arrangements) (Wales) Order 1997. It specifies that National Curriculum tests in Welsh (First Language) are to be administered only to those pupils who are expected by the head teacher to achieve at least level 3 (bringing the provisions in the 1997 Order relating to Welsh NC tests in line with those relating to NC tests in English, mathematics and science).
