The Housing Act 1996 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1997

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 232(3) of the Housing Act 1996(1) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order—

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Housing Act 1996 (Commencement No. 9) Order 1997.

Commencement

2.  Section 227 of the Housing Act 1996 in so far as it relates to the repeals in Part II of Schedule 19 to that Act shall come into force on 3rd March 1997.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 3rd March 1997 the repeals in Part II of Schedule 19 to the Housing Act 1996 relating to the control of houses in multiple occupation.
