The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of Derwen National Health Service Trust(3), and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act(4), hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Derwen National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st April 1997.

Dissolution of NHS trust

2.  The Derwen National Health Service Trust established by the Derwen National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993(5) is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st April 1997 of the Derwen National Health Service Trust established on 1st December 1993.
