The A21 Trunk Road (Morleys Interchange Slip Roads) (Trunking) Order 1997

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1) and now vested in him(2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the A21 Trunk Road (Morleys Interchange Slip Roads) (Trunking) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 17th July 1997.

(2) In this Order all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

2.  The lengths of highways described in the Schedule to this Order (the highways being in this Order referred to as “the slip roads”), shall become trunk roads from the date when this Order comes into force.

3.  The centre line of each of the slip roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered SNPR97/1 marked “The A21 Trunk Road (Morleys Interchange Slip Roads) (Trunking) Order 1997”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Department of Transport, Great Minster House, Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DR.

THE SCHEDULELENGTHS OF SLIP ROADS BECOMING TRUNK ROADS

The routes of the slip roads, which are at Sevenoaks, in the County of Kent, have been given the reference numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the deposited plan, and are as follows:—
1.  A route about 230 metres in length forming the “off” slip road from the coastbound carriageway of the A21 Trunk Road (Sevenoaks Bypass) to the junction with the Morleys Interchange.

2.  A route about 450 metres in length forming the “on” slip road from the junction with the Morleys Interchange to the coastbound carriageway of the A21 Trunk Road (Tonbridge Bypass).

3.  A route about 490 metres in length forming the “off” slip road from the Londonbound carriageway of the A21 Trunk Road (Tonbridge Bypass) to the junction with the Morleys Interchange.

4.  A route about 220 metres in length forming the “on” slip road from the junction with the Morleys Interchange to the Londonbound carriageway of the A21 Trunk Road (Sevenoaks Bypass).
