Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn (Portadown) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997

Coming into operation
13th March 1997

WHEREAS the Department of the Environment has published a notice in compliance with Article 23(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(1);

AND WHEREAS no objection or representation has been received;
NOW THEREFORE the Department, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 21(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn (Portadown) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 13th March 1997.

Amendment

2.  The Schedule to the Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn (Portadown) Order (Northern Ireland) 1979(2) shall be amended by the deletion therefrom of the item relating to Mill Avenue, Portadown.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)
This Order amends the Prohibition of Right-Hand Turn (Portadown) Order (Northern Ireland) 1979 (S.R. 1979 No. 342).
The effect of the amendment is to remove the prohibition of a right-hand turn from Mill Avenue, Portadown, into Northway.
