The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 59, 60 and 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990(1) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order—

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Town and Country Planning (Atomic Energy Establishments Special Development) (Revocation) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 10th January 1997.

Revocation

2.  The Town and Country Planning (Atomic Energy Establishments Special Development) Order 1954(2), the Town and Country Planning (Atomic Energy Establishments Special Development) Order 1957(3) and the Town and Country Planning (Atomic Energy Establishments Special Development) Order 1961(4) are hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order revokes the Town and Country Planning (Atomic Energy Establishments Special Development) Orders 1954, 1957 and 1961. These Orders permitted the development of land to which the Orders applied, for the purposes of the United Kingdom Atomic energy Authority.
