This Chapter contains no subsidiary legislation.

Note on Special Adviser (Protective Services) (Pension Rights) Act
This Chapter has been extended and renamed as the Pension Rights (Special Provisions) Act.

It originally consisted of “The Special Adviser (Protective Services) (Pension Rights) Act
(No. 2 of 1977)”. However, other similar Acts creating special pensions rights have now been
incorporated in this Chapter.

CHAPTER 23:56

PENSION RIGHTS (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) ACT

An Act relating to the pension rights of the holders of special
offices in the public service.

47 of 1979—1ST MARCH 1977]

1. This Act may be cited as the Pension Rights (Special
Provisions) Act.

2. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, it is hereby
declared that the person holding the office of Special Adviser
(Protective Services) in the Ministry of National Security shall
continue to enjoy pension rights similar to those he enjoyed as the
holder of an office in the Police Service.

3. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, it is hereby
declared that the person holding the office of Special Adviser to
the Cabinet on all Protective Services and Chief Executive Officer
of the National Security Council shall continue to enjoy pension
rights similar to those enjoyed by him as the holder of an office in
the Police Service.

4. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, it is hereby
declared that the person holding the office of Inspector of Fire
Services in the Ministry of National Security shall continue to enjoy
pension rights similar to those he enjoyed as the holder of an office
in the Fire Service.
