CHAPTER 25:06

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO ACT

An Act to establish the City of San Fernando and to confer on
its Council the powers of the San Fernando Borough
Council.

[18TH NOVEMBER 1988]

1. This Act may be cited as the City of San Fernando Act.

2. In this Act—
“Borough” means the Borough of San Fernando as referred to in

the San Fernando Corporation Ordinance;
“Ordinance” means the San Fernando Corporation Ordinance.

3. Upon the commencement of this Act the Borough shall be
known as the City of San Fernando, the Borough Council referred
to under the Ordinance shall be known as the City Council and the
burgesses of the Borough of San Fernando shall be known as the
citizens of the City of San Fernando.

4. A reference in the Ordinance, in any written law or in any
instrument or other document to the Borough, the Borough Council
and the burgesses shall be construed as a reference to the City of
San Fernando, the City Council of San Fernando and the citizens
respectively.
