(2) Any police officer or any officer authorised by the Port Director may seize and detain any merchandise in respect of which an offence against paragraph (1)(b) of this regulation is committed in his view and the court may, upon convicting any person of any such offence, order that the merchandise be forfeited or destroyed.

11. Any person who contravenes any provision of these Regulations for which no other specific penalty is provided, shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine of seventy-five dollars.

DECLARATION OF PORT AREAS

(SECTION 11) The following Port Areas have been declared with the limits described below.

SANDY POINT, ABACO

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Abaco

bounded by an imaginary line from Sandy Point through Tony Rock (Tony Rock being included in this district) to Duck Cay, thence due south by an imaginary line to Hole in the Wall, thence due south to the 100 fathom line and then following this line via Rocky Point to Sandy Point.

MARSH HARBOUR, ABACO

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Abaco

bounded by an imaginary line drawn from Sandy Point via east end of Woollendean Cays to the west end of Great Guana Cay thence due north to the 100 fathom line, thence following the 100 fathom line passing Hope Town, Telloo Cay, Pelican Cays, Lynyard Cays, Cherokee Point to Duck Cay, thence by an imaginary line drawn from Duck Cay through Tony Rock to Sandy Point.

GREEN TURTLE CAY, ABACO

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Abaco

bounded by an imaginary line drawn from the eastern end of Woollendean Cays to West End Cay, Little Abaco, thence to the north by an imaginary line cutting the western end of Fish Cay Rocks to the 100 fathom line, thence following the 100 fathom line to a point north of Great Guana Cay at the junction of Marsh Harbour, Abaco Port Area.

BIMINI

[8th June, 1963] The islands known as North Bimini and South

Bimini.

ARTHUR’S TOWN, CAT ISLAND

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Cat Island

extending from Eleuthera Point by a line drawn passing south of Little San Salvador to the northern limit of the Cove, thence by a line drawn northeast across the Island by the 100 fathom line on the north-east coast, thence by the 100 fathom line back to Eleuthera Point.

THE BIGHT

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Cat Island

bounded by a line drawn from the southwest corner of Arthur’s Town, Cat Island Port Area to Hawks Nest, thence by the 100 fathom line round the south and southeast ends of Cat Island to the south-eastern limit of the said Arthur’s Town, Cat Island Port Area.

GOVERNOR’S HARBOUR, ELEUTHERA

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Eleuthera

bounded by an imaginary line from Six Shillings Cay to Palmetto Point, including Governor’s Harbour, thence to the northeast by the 100 fathom line to join the boundary of the Harbour Island Port Area.

ROCK SOUND, ELEUTHERA

[8th June, 1963] That area in and surrounding the Island of Eleuthera

extending from a point on the southern boundary of the Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera Port Area due south of Governor’s Harbour to Powell’s Point, thence to Eleuthera Point, thence north by the 100 fathom line to Palmetto Point, thence to the west by the southern boundary of the said Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera Port Area to the point of commencement.

GRAND BAHAMA

[14th July, 1966] The Grand Bahama (No. 1) (Freeport) Port Area. The area in and surrounding that part of the Island of

Grand Bahama extending from Sandy Point, Abaco, along the western boundary of Abaco (No. 1) (Sandy Point), Port Area to the 100 fathom line, by the 100 fathom line via Pinder Point, along the western shore of Hawksbill Creek to the western and northern points of Mangrove Cay, to West End Cay, to Little Abaco, and thence by the western boundaries of Abaco (No. 3) (Green Turtle Cay) and Abaco (No. 2) (Marsh Harbour) Port Areas to Sandy Point.

The Grand Bahama (No. 2) (West End) Port Area. The area in and surrounding that part of Grand

Bahama extending from the southwestern point of Hawks- bill Creek by the 100 fathom line to Settlement Point then north to Memory Rock, east to but excluding Mangrove

Cay, and thence south along the western shore of Hawksbill Creek to the southwestern point of that Creek.

EXUMA

[8th June, 1963] That area bounded on the north by the 5 fathom line,

on the east by the east end of Little Exuma, on the south by the shore lines of Great and Little Exuma and Barraterre and on the west by a line drawn from the western end of Barraterre.

HARBOUR ISLAND

[8th June, 1963] From Glass Windows by the 100 fathom line to the

east, north and west to Six Shillings Cay, thence by a line to the south of Six Shillings Cay to Glass Windows.

SAN SALVADOR

[8th June, 1963] The Island of San Salvador and the area surrounding

the said Island and extending off-shore to the 30 fathom contour.

INAGUA

[8th June, 1963] From one mile north of Matthew Town anchorage

and opposite the point known locally as Hatteras, round the south west point of the Island of Inagua to a position where Salt Pond Hill bears north and, between these two positions, seaward to the edge of soundings.

RAGGED ISLAND

[8th June, 1963] From Man-O-War Anchorage to the south of Great

Ragged Island to Racoon Cay.

NEW PROVIDENCE

[27th July, 1963] From a line drawn from a point three miles west of

Clifton Point to a point three miles due north of Old Fort thence by a line drawn to the light of Six Shillings Cay then from Six Shillings Cay to a point ten miles due south of Six Shillings Cay thence by a line to a point on White Bank eleven miles due south of East Point, New Providence and from thence by a line drawn to the western boundary three miles west of Clifton Point.

LONG ISLAND

[30th May, 1968] The Long Island (Clarence Town) Port Area.

That area in and surrounding the Island of Long Island extending from Duncanson Point by a line drawn to Nue Vitas Light, thence by a line drawn south-east to South Point, thence by the One Hundred Fathom Line up the eastern coast of the island to the latitude of Duncanson Point, thence due west to Duncanson Point.

The Long Island (Salt Pond) Port Area. That area in and surrounding the Island of Long

Island extending from Duncanson Point by a line drawn to Nue Vitas Light, thence north by a line drawn to Cape Santa Maria, thence by the One Hundred Fathom Line down the eastern coast of the island to the latitude of Duncanson Point, thence due west to Duncanson Point.
