LRO 1/2010 STATUTE LAW OF THE BAHAMAS

LYNDEN PINDLING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MISCELLANEOUS FEES) REGULATIONS

(SECTION 5) [Commencement 26th May, 1993]

1. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Lynden Pindling International Airport (Miscellaneous Fees) Regulations.

(2) These regulations shall apply only to Lynden Pindling International Airport.

2. In these regulations — “Airport” means Lynden Pindling International

Airport; “loading bridge” means a mechanically operated,

adjustable ramp which provides, for passengers boarding or disembarking from aircraft, direct access between the aircraft and the Airport;

“private aircraft” means a single engine aircraft registered in the name of an individual as the owner and which is not used for commercial purposes.

3. Subject to the provisions of regulation 4, there shall be charged, demanded and received on behalf of the Government of The Bahamas, the respective fees set out in the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Schedules in respect of the landing of aircraft at the Airport, the parking of aircraft at the Airport and the operation of a loading bridge, as the case may be:

Provided that any fees may be remitted in particular cases when the Director of Civil Aviation considers that such remission is in the public interest.

4. No fee shall be charged in respect of — (a) aircraft engaged in search or rescue operations; (b) private aircraft of an all up weight of less than

six thousand pounds; (c) training flights originating at the Airport and

carried out within a radius of twenty miles of the Airport;

(d) aircraft belonging to the Armed Forces of Governments of any country of the Common- wealth or of the United States of America; and
