AN ACT TO AMEND THE PRADESHIYA SABHAS ACT, NO. 15 OF 1987

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Pradeshiya Sabhas (Amendment) Act, No. 34 of 1993.

Amendment of section 132 of Act No. 15 of 1987.

2. Section 132 of the Pradeshiya Sabhas Act, No. 15 of 1987, is hereby amended by the insertion, immediately after paragraph (n) of that section, of the following new paragraph :

" (nn) all expenses incurred by the Pradeshiya Sabha in the installation and maintenance, of official telephone facilities at the residences of the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman ; ".

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.

3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail,
