NOTICE OF CHARGE ON BASE TARIFF FOR THE
SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY (No.5) 2009

I, TUISUGALETAUA SOFARA AVEAU, Minister
responsible for the Electric Power Corporation, pursuant to
section 23A of the Electric Power Corporation Act 1980 give
notice that:

1. The additional charge to be applied on the base tariff
charged for the supply of electricity is 5.6%.
2. The charge is to compensate for the cost of fuel used for
the supply of electricity.
3. This Notice commences on 1 July 2009.
4. The Notice of Additional Charge for the Supply of
Electricity (No.4) 2009 dated 22nd
of May 2009 is
revoked.
