LAND TRANSPORT AUTHORITY ACT 2007,
MINISTERIAL DETERMINATION

(ROAD WIDENING PROJECT)

I, TUISUGALETAUA SOFARA AVEAU, Minister of
Works, Transport and Infrastructure and Minister responsible
for the Land Transport Authority, pursuant to my powers under
sections 45 and 47 of the Land Transport Authority Act 2007,
DO HEREBY DETERMINE:

1. That all land taken by Proclamation 1962 (25th

September 1962, LR 178P), Proclamation 1966 (1st
April 1966, LR 190P) and Proclamation 2006 (21st
August 2006, LR 26770 & 26769) for road construction
purposes and road reserves from land parcels located
from Malifa to Vaitele, are Government land;

2. That all such land road reserves will be utilised for the
purposes of the Road Widening Project (SIAM 2)
currently underway;

3. That for the purposes of under taking construction for
the Road Widening Project, the Land Transport
Authority had contracted Ott Transport Company
Limited as the authorised personnel;

4. That it is an offence for any person to obstruct the
authorised personnel from carrying out the construction
works for the Road Widening Project, pursuant to
section 47 of the Land Transport Authority Act 2007.
