DECLARATION OF PUBLIC HOLIDAY (HALF DAY)
FOR NATIONAL MOURNING

I, TUI ATUA TUPUA TAMASESE EFI, Head of State of the
Independent State of Samoa, acting on the advice of Cabinet
pursuant to Special Directive F.K. (09) 12 and section 7 of the
Public Holidays Act 2008, DECLARE:

THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER 2009 FROM 12.00 NOON

to be a Half Day Public Holiday to mourn those who lost their
lives in the Tsunami on 29 September 2009.
