MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 82

URGING ALL CONCERNED TO CONVENE AND COORDINATE WITH THE LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITIES TO PREPARE AND CARRY OUT THE PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES FOR THE OBSERVANCE OF CLEAN-UP WEEK.

The period from January 8 to 14 of every year has declared National Clean-Up Week by the President of the Philippines under Proclamation No, 187 dated December 19, 1963. The celebration of the Week highlights program of activities which includes, among others, the selection of the cleanest province, city government or private hospital, and public or private school in each regional health district within the first week of December, 1966, The winner or winners will be entered in the nationwide contest to be decided by the National Committee during the celebration of National Clean-Up Week in Manila on or before the 13th of January, 1967.

To insure a meaningful and successful celebration of the National Clean-Up Week for 1967, the Provincial, Chartered City, Municipal, Municipal District and Barrio Committees are hereby urged to convey s soon as possible and coordinate with the local health authorities for the purpose of making early preparation for carrying out the program f activities mentioned above. As the observance of Clean-Up Week will ultimately contribute to a healthful way of life of the people, it is hoped that all local officials and members of the different local committees in the country will extend their full coop ration and support.

All Provincial Governors and City Mayors are hereby enjoined to bring the contents of this Circular to the attention of all concerned in their respective jurisdiction for their information and guidance.
