ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 109

DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS OF THE PHILIPPINE COMMITTEE THAT WILL DISCUSS AND NEGOTIATE WITH THE MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT A REVISED AGREEMENT ON THE RECRUITMENT OF FILIPINO LABORERS FOR SABAH

WHEREAS, pursuant to Paragraph 8 of the Joint Communique issued at the end my State Visit to Malaysia, negotiations would be pursued as soon as possible leading to the conclusion of a revised labor agreement between the two Countries; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary that a Philippine Committee sit down with its Malaysian counterpart for the purpose of discussing and negotiating a revised agreement on the recruitment of Filipino laborers for Sabah;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate the members of the Philippine Committee as follows:

The Philippine Committee is authorized to engage the services of such technical assistants or personnel as may be needed for the negotiation herein referred to.

The necessary expenses that may be incurred by the Committee in the performance of its work shall be chargeable to the Office of the President.
