MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 369

URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE SYMPOSIUM ON THE THEME “TOWARDS CLOSING THE PROTEIN GAP IN THE RURAL AREAS.”

The National Food and Agriculture Council, the Philippine Society of Animal Science, the Food and Nutrition Research Center, and the Crop Science Society of the Philippines will sponsor a national symposium on the theme “Towards closing the Protein gap in the rural areas” at Ramon Magsaysay Hall, SSS Building, Quezon City, on July 29-31, 1970.

The purpose of the seminar is to frame a course of action that would take in solving the protein gap.

In view of the importance of this symposium to the food production program of the Administration, the heads of the offices and agencies of the government enumerated in the attached list are hereby urged to send not more than three employees on the supervisory level to the symposium. Their participation shall be on official business, that is, with reasonable expenses chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to availability of funds and the usual audit to the condition that no additional traveling fund outlays will be requested by the participating agencies.

The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a report of their attendance in the symposium.
