MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 752

AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE AT THE 19TH ANNUAL CONVENTION OF

THE DIETETIC ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES.

The Dietetic Association of the Philippines is scheduled to hold its 19th Annual Convention on July 17-20, 1974, in Manila, with the theme: “Community Service Through Nutrition and Dietetics.”

This convention will be jointly participated in by dietitians and nutritionists in the government service, and the Hospital Dietitians Association of the Philippines.

In view hereof, authority is hereby granted to nutritionists and dietitians who are employed in the government service to attend the convention of the Dietetic association of the Philippines on official time, with expenses for transportation, subsistence and lodging, and convention fees, all chargeable against the appropriation of their respective agencies in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 344 dated November 26, 1973) as implemented by Commission on Audit General Circular No. 127, dated November 27, 1973, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements; and as an exception to the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 593 of this Office dated August 8, 1972.

It is understood, however, that participants who are residing or who are stationed within the Greater Manila area shall be entitled to reasonable expenses for transportation and convention fees only.

Participants from government offices shall submit to their respective agency heads a written report on their attendance and participation in the convention within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof.

This Circular takes effect immediately.
