MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 1148
AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION OF NUTRITION, INC.
The Philippine Association of Nutrition, Inc. will hold its annual convention on July 12-13, 1979, at the Philippine Women’s University on the theme: “A SECOND LOOK AT SUPLEMENTARY FEEDING.”
The attendance of dietitians and/or nutritionists from the following government agencies:
1. UP/UPBL

2. National Nutrition Service
2
3. Bureau of Agricultural Extension
2
4. Ministry of Education and Culture
1
5. Food and Nutrition Research Institute

6. National Nutrition Council 3 in the said convention, who are members of the Association, is hereby authorized on official time with reasonable expenses for transportation, per diems and a convention fee of â±50.00 per participant, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 344 dated November 26, 1973, as implemented by CCA General Circular No. 127, series of 1973, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements, as an exception to Memorandum Circular No. 593 of this Office dated August 8, 1972. Participants residing or stationed within Metro Manila shall be entitled to reasonable expenses for transportation and convention fees only. Meals covered by the convention fee shall be deducted from per diems.
The participants shall submit to their respective office heads a complete report on their attendance or participation in the convention as prescribed under Memorandum Circular No. 987 dated June 10, 1977.
