MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 269

DIRECTING THE TEMPORARY TAKE-OVER OR DIRECTION OF THE OPERATIONS OF MANILA CENTRAL LINES (MCL) BUS COMPANY

In order to prevent disruption of vital public transportation services in Metropolitan Manila during the state of national emergency, the Secretary of Transportation and Communications is hereby directed to temporarily take over or direct the operations Manila Central Lines (MCL) Bus Company for the durati of the national emergency and for the following purposes:

1) To place all the bus units of the aforesaid bus company in operation for service of the Metropilitan Manila commuters; and

(2) To augment the existing fleet of buses plying Metropolitan Manila.

The Secretary of Transportation and Communications shall observe the general guidelines provided for under Executive Order No. 384, Series of 1989.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 18th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine.
