MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 270

DIRECTING THE SECRETARY OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY TO ENSURE ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF CEMENT FOR THE SMALL AND MEDIUM END-USERS

In accordance with Proclamation No. 563 dated December 6, 1989 and to stabilize the construction industry through the equitable distribution of cement, I hereby direct the Secretary of Trade and Industry to require all cement manufacturers to make available adequate supply of cement to meet the requirements of small and medium end users.

The Secretary of Trade and Industry is hereby authorized to mobilize and deputize all government agencies and instrumentalities including the local governments, Philippine Constabulary/Integrated National Police, and other law enforcement agencies, in the implementation of this Memorandum Order.

The Secretary of Trade and Industry shall issue the necessary guidelines to implement this Memorandum Order in accordance with Executive Order No. 384, Series of 1989.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 20th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine.
