MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 360

AUTHORIZING DECS, DILG, DOT, DPWH, MMDA AND CONCERNED LGUs

TO ALLOCATE AND UTILIZE NOT MORE THAN ONE PERCENT (1%) OF

THEIR BUDGETARY MOOE FOR THE REPAIR, RENOVATION AND

UPGRADING OF PUBLIC FACILITIES AND OTHER

INFRASTRUCTURES ALONG THE APEC ROUTE

The Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the local government units of Bataan, Bulacan, Laguna, Pampanga, Subic, Tarlac and the Metro Manila cities and municipalities, are hereby authorized to allocate and utilize not more than one percent (1%) of their Maintenance, Operating and Other Expenses (MOOEs) from their respective agency/LGU budgets to defray the cost of repair, renovation and upgrading of public facilities including but not limited to public buildings, public toilets and other infrastructures, along the areas of engagements and meetings of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), subject to the existence of the expenditure item “Repair and Maintenance of Government Facilities” and to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The concerned local government units shall likewise extend full support and assistance necessary for this purpose.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.

DONE in the City of Manila, this 14th day of April in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Six.
