PROCLAMATION NO. 249

DECLARING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2002, AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY IN THE CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, BULACAN

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 8797 provides for the conversion of the Municipality of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan into a component city to be known as the City of San Jose del Monte;

WHEREAS, Tuesday, September 10, 2002, marks the 2nd Charter Day anniversary of the City of San Jose del Monte;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people of the City of San Jose del Monte be given full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their city’s history with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Tuesday, September 10, 2002, as a special non-working day in the City of San Jose del Monte.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
